New Zealand Certificate Level 2

This Level 2 Certificate provides foundation skills and knowledge to work in entry level operational, or non operational roles in the manufacturing sector.

Trades training element

Apply an awareness of workplace processes and practices to effectively participate in a manufacturing operation, meet basic health and safety workplace requirements relevant to an entry level role in manufacturing, and follow instructions and carry out entry level tasks in a manufacturing operation.  

Mentoring element

While studying a trade at OCA, students are mentored and supported throughout. OCA believes in walking alongside students and empowering them to succeed. Students receive help in an innovative and positive way to cross the bridge between school or unemployment and exposure to industry, into productive jobs and careers in a trade of their choice.

New Zealand Certificate in Manufacturing

Foundation skills and knowledge to work in entry level operational, or non operational roles in the manufacturing sector.

Complete tasks at entry level, and have the skills and knowledge to meet workplace safety requirements. 

Complete work experience placements in industry. NCEA credits gained can be applied to further tertiary study or year 1 of an apprenticeship.

This is an entry level qualification, designed for people already working in the industry or people wishing to enter the industry in an entry level role.
