Infrastructure Works

NZ Certificate Level 2

With this Level 2 course you'll gain an understanding of the infrastructure works industry and the health, safety and environmental knowledge required to work safely on sites and with others under direct supervision. The course has a focus on practical learning tasks.

Learn in a culturally responsive workshop and learning environment with wrap-around Whanau Ora support tailored to Pasifika students.

Develop your confidence

You'll be encouraged and supported to develop your self-confidence, self-esteem, self-management and other attributes to enhance your future study and career planning and work-readiness.

Work-readiness

You'll be supported to get ready for your entry into apprenticeships in a range of contexts, but particularly through increasing your understanding of employer expectations of entry level employees.

NZ Certificate in Infrastructure Works

Gain an understanding of the infrastructure works industry and the health, safety and environmental knowledge required to work safely on sites and with others under direct supervision. The course has a focus on practical learning tasks.  

This Level 2 qualification is ideal for people commencing a career in the infrastructure works industry. You may be new to the industry, from school or another industry, or you may be already working in the industry without a qualification. It is also relevant to pre-apprenticeship programmes relevant to infrastructure works. 

The programme will help you to develop the skills, knowledge and attributes required to gain entry-level employment in an industry where you have a broad range of choices, each of which offers a career pathway. It can lead to jobs in civil works, rural contracting, surfacing operations and underground utilities.
