Foundation Skills Carpentry

Establish your goals, lock in your pathway, and build your carpentry skills with this practical course. Work with a team on exciting construction projects, and boost your industry knowledge.

Construction Trade Skills Level 3

42 weeks

Develop your industry knowledge and skill – from workplace safety, communication and construction terminology, to mastering calculations and basic building technology.

Study Construction Level 3 Paint & Plaster

NZQA Level 3

20 weeks

Build your skills in painting and plastering, including workplace safety, communication, and painting & plastering terms, as well as practical experience in our ‘on the job’ learning environment.

Some of our Level 3 courses offer part-time study options. Our Level 1 and Level 2 courses are only available for full-time study.

The only course which currently offers a combination of in-person and online learning is our Part-time Construction Trade Skills (Carpentry) Level 3. This is because the course was designed for people who are working full time who are only available on evenings and weekends.

You can work as an apprentice carpenter, construction labourer, or continue with further studies to advance in the construction industry.

Do I need construction experience to enrol in these courses?2025-04-01T16:41:12+13:00

No, you don’t need to have experience of working in the construction industry.

Yes, all our construction courses are accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA), which means they meet national education standards.
